In the heart of the forest, close to Hossegor lake, Lo Rey du Lac invites you to a unique experience: a night in a futuristic geode. Imagine yourself nestled in a transparent sphere, bathed in starlight, listening to the gentle murmur of Landes nature. Total immersion, where time seems suspended and every moment becomes magical.

Is the Géode heated?

The Géode is not thermally insulated, but we do provide two auxiliary heaters in winter and an air-conditioning unit in summer.

The Géode is open all year round

All our unusual accommodations for couples, like our Bubbles, have a private SPA. It can be used and heated all year round.

The weather is an integral part of the holiday. We do not cancel stays due to bad weather. Find out more in our dedicated article on “Spending a holiday in the great outdoors”.

Your safety will always be our priority. Should this be at risk, we will contact you to postpone your stay.

The Geode

Our geode or geodesic dome is an unusual accommodation with a futuristic feel, yet warm and cosy. A cousin of the bubble, this spherical structure features a solid, triangular-shaped wooden frame covered with an opaque plastic canvas.

It opens onto the surrounding nature and the terrace, and has a skylight just above the bed.

Our geode’s geometric shape and avant-garde design make it a real eye-catcher, but it’s its round suspended bed that’s its greatest asset. You’ll have the opportunity to sleep high up – 50 cm from the floor – in a 280 cm diameter round bed, installed right in the center of the main room. This original concept was developed thanks to Pascal’s DIY talents, who meticulously studied the safety and sturdiness of the installation.

Anne took particular care to imagine the perfect decor, in shades of white and black, totally in keeping with the futuristic spirit of the geode. From the bed linen to the towels, from the rest area to the kitchenette and the bathroom floor, everything matches the black-and-white theme of this unusual accommodation.

The geode gives you the same sense of immersion in the forest as a bubble, but with a door, portholes, wooden structure and opaque canvas – ideal for those seeking a little more privacy.

The outdoor area features a spacious terrace with garden furniture, a private black spa to keep with the theme, and a hammock for relaxing. It would seem that the geode’s location is privileged, since our guests regularly attend the lovely shows of the nature Birds foraging for food, squirrels nibbling seeds that have fallen to the ground, hedgehogs out for a stroll.

A beautiful bathroom with toilet and a large glass-enclosed shower are installed inside the apartment.
