The Vélodyssée is one of the most beautiful cycling routes in France: more than 1,200 km of trails running along the Atlantic coast, from the Breton islands to the Spanish border. It passes just a few hundred meters from our estate, on the shores of Lake Hossegor.

Our Vélodyssée Accommodations

We offer accommodations specifically designed for touring cyclists:

  • 2 Mini Bubbles — Our compact, comfortable bubbles for two, nestled in the heart of the pine forest. A unique overnight stay to recharge your batteries before the next leg of your journey.
  • 1 Open Campsite — For cyclists traveling with their own tent. Access to all campground amenities (bike storage, bike wash station, repair kit).

How to get here from the Vélodyssée

Lo Rey du Lac is located at 251 Route des Lacs, 40150 Soorts-Hossegor. The detour from the main road is short and easy.

From the North — Stage: Léon → Capbreton (33 km)

From Léon, follow the Vélodyssée southward through Moliets-et-Maâ, Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains, Messanges, Soustons and Seignosse.

⚠️ Passing through Léon: Please exercise extra caution when driving through the town center.

Detour to Lo Rey du Lac:

  • In Seignosse, instead of turning right to follow the Vélodyssée, continue straight ahead on the bike path.
  • Follow the trail to the far end of Lake Hossegor.
  • Ride along the lake on the bike path.
  • At the small roundabout, turn left onto Route des Lacs.
  • Lo Rey du Lac is 251 m away on your left.

Depuis Bayonne, suivez la Vélodyssée vers le nord en passant par Tarnos et Boucau jusqu’à Capbreton.

Déviation vers Lo Rey du Lac :

  • Depuis Capbreton, continuez sur la piste cyclable direction Hossegor.
  • Traversez la station balnéaire en empruntant la piste cyclable.
  • ⚠️ Attention : sur une partie du centre-ville d’Hossegor, les vélos doivent rouler sur la route en zone 30 partagée — des marquages au sol vous guident.
  • Continuez sur l’avenue du Touring Club pour rejoindre la piste cyclable longeant le lac.
  • Au mini rond-point, prenez à droite sur la Route des Lacs.
  • Lo Rey du Lac est à 251 m sur votre gauche.

Yes. We provide a complete repair kit (tire lever, patches, glue) as well as a foot pump. For more extensive repairs, there’s a bike shop in Hossegor just a few minutes away.

Yes, there is an outlet available at the bike shop. Bring your charger if you’d like to charge your device.

Yes. The secure bike storage area is accessible at any time during your stay. You will be provided with a key or dedicated access upon arrival.
